Accuracy: Sat nav or speedo
Yes, Sat Nav SHOULD be bang on but they do lag a little sometimes. On some cars it is possible to pop the needle off and move it a tiny amount and put it back on, I did that on my 205 to bring it in line with the GPS on tom tom using two little spoons to lever the needle off.
Sat nav’s are not 100% iver. At work I calibrate tachos in trucks. Every year the equipment is serviced and calibrated. Tachos record drivers hours and speed. The amount of drivers who say since you done me tacho the speedo is out as my sat nav is a few mph faster or slower lol. Even though the tacho equipment is properly calibrated lol
To be honest I have been going by the sat nav so in a 30 area stick to what the sat nav says but the speedo shows about 32 or 33. I'm never sure If I would get a ticket going by the sat nav.

Years ago I did a day at Brunters with one of the Golf magazines.
I had a road angel at the time and it was as accurate as the mag's Datron GPS timing gear.
Indicated 140mph was 131mph.

I have found them to be 10% over what the sat nav says across the range. When I go through the roadworks on the motorway it's a 50 limit with average speed cameras, my tomtom live sat nav pings up it's 50 then gives you your average speed as you are going through the roadworks.
If I set the cruise control to 55 the sat nav gives me my average along about 3 miles as exactly 50mph. Not had a ticket yet

I find much similar Richie. So I guess it's ok to keep an eye on the sat nav rather than the speedo. It's a bloody nightmare driving through a 30mph zone, it's more dangerous
to keep looking down at the speedo or sat nav than speeding.

B max you have isn't it? Does it have cruise control and a speed limiter like my focus and c max does? The speed limiter is quite a good feature, set it to whatever speed you like and it won't exceed it unless you stick your foot right down.
I have found to my suprise that my Saffs speedo reading is exactly the same as my Sat-Nav! I expected the speedo to be reading higher than the actual speed I am driving but it seems it is pretty accurate.
I remember when I went to pick up my nms white saph from north Yorkshire rs spares, I drove up in my grey saph I had at the time, went through a village my Speedo showed over 30 mph but as I drove through one of those speed indicator things it said 22 mph
