Default What's car better to upgrade (turbo)?

Hello guys! I'm new. At the moment I have Ford Focus 1.6 MK1 1999r. Ghia Saloon. I want to buy a new car, but i don't know what. Which Ford is better to upgrade with turbo, Fiesta MK6.5 ST150 or Focus MK1 ST170, maybe some different Ford? My budget is 3,000£ and only Petrol! Good day!

Hi, I would find a turboed car to begin with and then upgrade that, focus range might be worth a look.

the 170 does rust a lot like most fords and the 150 does give you that smile factor as have had both and all depends on what you want from a car really and your personal taste

A nice face lift st225 will set you back 6k here.

if you want a quick car that handles well, the arse has fallen out of the Renault Megane 2 RS 225 it will spank a Focus st170 Fiesta St150 and even a Focus st225 round a track.

but it’s not a Ford.

to answer your original question, the st170 will take a turbo easier in my opinion. But even done on the cheap it will cost you the same or more than the mk2 focus or Megane.

depends on what you want, can find and can afford. An old and modified Sierra is very different to a semi modern st225. Modifying rare cars to make them reliable can be an expensive job

Making a reliable turbo ST150, will cost you more than your budget, and that's without buying the car.
