Default Focus ST170 Xenon headlights - direct replacement?

are the Xenon headlights for the ST170 a direct replacement?
If I buy some do they fit straight in or is there any modifications to the electrics that need doing?

They will plug in but not power up as the looms are quite different. For a full install you will also need the self levelling system and headlamp washers.

Yes they do work but the self levelling don't. And as said you won't have washers.

Steve 1PD will be able to give a more detailed answer.

There is also a sensor on the dash.

You mean the sensor that sits on the dash with a purple disc on top? That's the sun load sensor for the climate control. It has nothing to do with the headlights.

what many do is move the wire in the plug so it enable manual headlamp adjustment as the xenons are way better than the halogens for sure

Hi Steve,
would there be any chance that you could help me with the information regarding moving the pins, and which wires need splicing and/or bridging. I know how to get the pins out if they need changing. I’m just not having much luck in finding a reliable guide from somebody that has changed from a halogen to oem xenon set up.
Many thanks in advance, and any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Steve,
