Hello all!
So tomorrow me and my brother are going to look at one, its for him but i just wanna ask are these good cars or just a nightmare?
It will be a shadow edition V8, Not the pointless 2.3
.
Thanks.

My friend has a 2016 gt and it has required nothing but servicing, and a new set of rear tyres. If your over 6ft there is next to no room for adult legs in the rear. Do able but they won't like it for a longer trip.
The handling is surprisingly good for a big heavy car, great fun can be had with the lsd hence the new tyres. Also it is every bit as quick as my mk3 RS.
My RS has it on handling unsurprisingly. You can feel the weight on turn in but it copes well if you keep it balanced. The engine note is addictive and he has averaged 22mpg over 7000 miles. He feels the interior is a bit cheap in places, but then he was a vw audi guy before. But he likes it that much he has just ordered a 2019 Bullet fully loaded. Also I'm contemplating px my RS for one when it is 3 years old. not much info but i hope it helps.

Sounds like everything i would expect then. I would of said the V8 would be faster than the Focus from rolling?
He is thinking more 14 MPG overall but i dont think they will be that bad.
My rs has it from standing, but yes your right the mustang edges it rolling especially 100 plus on the autobahn. The Mustang is limited to 155 where the RS will get to 150 then 165 eventually
. The MPG when having fun is around the 12-14 mark, but for instance we went to Silverstone for a trackday he averaged 27 going down and back. On the track it was around 8

my brother in law has a 2016 and as mentioned apart from always needing new rear tyres (totally his fault) its a great car and simply needs a service, everyone I know that bought one instead of a RS does not regret it and a few that bought the mk3 have ditched them for the mustang now too, get yourself a roush supercharger kit and say hello to 700hp

They are not bad to live with, just don't get the convertible due to lack of visibility when changing lanes. Bit plastic but still not as bad as some cars, new cars interior is definitely better than previous generations.
strange as I think mountune are fitting the kits, but there are plenty around that will install the kit anyway as my pal in essex had his done and on amds dyno it was 709hp needless to say he was happy,
My FRS went for it's HG change 2 weeks back and I asked for a GT loan car to try as my wife wants one. I got a grabber blue car with 104 km on the clock!
All in I was a little disappointed. Yes it's quite quick and sounds good but my FRS is WAY more practical. I can get 5 people in it and stuff in the boot. I'm 6 ft 4" so the drivers seat literally touches the rear so not even a child could sit there.
I'd like to try a manual because this was auto. I'd also like to try a supercharged version.
I'd never swap my focus for one in a million years.
I will try the new model when it lands in Australia later in the year.

I've had a blat in an ex workmakes new 2.3, and it's hardly pointless. Still a quick car, like driving a tidal wave. Cheaper and easier to tune than the V8. The real differences are the noise and fuel consumption. In terms of actually getting from A to B there's nothing in it.

I think if I had the choice I would buy the mustang over the focus rs. But having a little boy the mustang would be no good for putting a child seat in the back.
