Default Airtech top feed do I cut front bumper?

Just bolted my 100mm top feed cooler in place and found when trying to put the front bumper back on it hits the fins meant for diverting the air.

What have other people done about this ? Cut slots in the bumper or cut sections out of the fins to go round the bumper ?

I helped fit an Airtec intercooler on a 66 plate Civic Type R. What a nightmare, a poorly thought through upgrade not helped by the crap instructions, that said you may have to cut the undertray. Didn't tell us which bit to cut, where or how much.
Left it off in the end
Good move in leaving it until the next day and look at it with fresh eyes
Incidentally, once we'd got the bumper back on, I went back to the undertray and looked at it carefully and using the old intercooler as a guide and comparing to the new, managed to figure out what bits to cut, but couldn't be arsed taking it all apart again, so it stayed off!!

So trimming the air guide fins is the way to go. Thought this was going to be a straight forward fit and not be cutting a band new cooler

This was a subject that has just been talked about, so called easy to fit mods that I am sure the people who sell them have never actually fitted and you are left with having to figure it out yourself!!

That would be the fins cut and painted to clear the bumper

Yeah, I did mine like that and left little tabs like that to bolt the rubber to.

I have since upgraded to a Spec R which is the way to go for a reliable big power engine. I am having mine modded to fit the car and setup. Spec R are over £1200 though and a long wait unless your tuner has sway with Pete.
