Putting my engine back together, not done one of there’s for about 10 years, do I need a gasket between the pas bracket and the block, I’m thinking yes??? (2WD)
My answer would be no BUT if you look behind that braket (two big posts) there is the old Pinto fuel pump take off, some blocks are blanked and others need a plate over that oval shaped bit with 2 bolt holes....my last 200 block had a plate over there and that DID have a gasket...I am sure a smear of make your own gasket sealer would be fine.

Thanks for the replies, I shall seal it up just in case. You’ve jogged my memory about the fuel pump, I was wondering what it was for, knew it was some sort of casting design left in that was redundant in cossies.
