Default Supra diff weir kits

When these are fitted how noisy are they
When cornering slowly etc
What noise do they make
Can they be set at different rates
My cars a road car but going to be running good power
Hence the supra diff as I want it reliable but don’t want a road car that going to sound terrible
Regards

I haven't run mine yet so cannot comment on the noiselevel, but the clutch packs are set up by shims so you can adjust the preload / lock up torque.

They come in two different configurations, I got the "fast road" option, with the additional spring. The "full race" version replace the spring entirely with a harder, washer type concave spring setup, making it lock up faster.

It depends how worn the clutch packs are what rating you will be able to achieve. I had to stack all the shims in there, and that got me to 85Nm (mine is quite worn). Max is about 100Nm on the road race kit.

I will be upgrading to a Cusco RS LSD in the future if Im not happy with the weir kit. Its a fully adjustable 1,5 to 2 way, adjustable torque LSD.

Mine is a little bit clunky but by no means ‘noisy’, it’s no worse cornering etc.
Speak to bara about your set up and he will set it up for you accordingly

Cheers Paul

I think a good one on good bearings etc is not bad at all, I didn’t really notice mine.

My old 325i bmw e30 and e30 m3 were both worse on standard but worn lsd’s.
