Must be in good condition if wipers are with the lights that’s a bonus

I have lots of headlight wiper motors if that's any help.
Also std saff headlights are the same you just need to cut out the bracket for the grill to fit.

I always thought saff headlights were different apart from the brackets where the front grill screws too.

My saff headlights looks to me like the bracket for the grill has been cut out for my grill to fit??

 

Also the lense reflector and markings are different if your trying to keep it original, if you manage to get hold of the normal sapphire headlights I can send you a cardboard template of what tou need to cut off to make the Cosworth grill fit if you haven’t got the originals to copy yourself,

Correct 90% are carrello some have different main beam patterns. Also seen Lucas lenses on carrello backs before. Also be aware if buying from abroad as they will have a lhd pattern.

but the main unit is the same only the cut out for grill is different and is only that a cut out.

I got a brand new set for my old saff for 30 quid each back in the day from GMS Capri spares at ford fair.

shame I killed that car. 1000 pounds worth of cooler and rad new original bumper mounts new fogs new indicators all gone in seconds.....

That’s not good news mate, that’s exactly what will probably be on my mind when I get it back on the road! It will probably scare the shit out of me as I’ve not driven it for 7yrs, “my old transit and the missis Mini Cooper s don’t come close”

I’m presuming you haven’t got any lights to to work with so here’s a few pics to give you an idea.




The template was made from the original sapph Cosworth headlight



This is the non Cosworth headlight





If using the non sapph Cosworth headlights you will need a left & right handed bracket like this that the Cosworth grill surround clips into.



I made mine out of stainless steel because mine were to far gone, the U shaped clip that it bolts to is the same on all variants I think!
