Help i.just swapped a 2007 focus 2.0 tdci engine into my galaxy 2.0 tdci 2007 swapped all ancillaries over etc. Bled fuel system and whilst car will start wont idle. Cuts out. Fault code comes up is P0087 fuel pressure regulator. Clears but does exactly the same when restarted. Even when the revs are held at say 2k the revs hunt but it doesn't die until it returns it to.idle. Ive had the hp pump checked bypassed the filter swapped injectors from the old engine but to no avail. No obvious fuel leaks but defo sounds like air getting. Thinking about changing the fuel pressure regulator on the pump.

No bubbles in the fuel lines.

 

Hi i think the P0087 code is red herring. I say because theres a small amount of diesel around the injector unions. Maybe loosing fuel there and regulator cant keep up? Tightend everything but its still there. Injector pipe/s cracked ? Defomed ? Only way to fi d out is to change and that means taking inlet manifold off. Grrrr bloody french crap.
