Default Car goes into Limp Mode No Warning Lights

Hey all,

Hope someone could shed some light on this issue.

I have a Focus 2008 2.0 TDCI have had the DPF insides removed and a custom map to remove all DPF files from the ECU and recently changed my glowplugs as they were dead. I have had problems with the car going into limp mode before any of the above worked was carried out and it is still going into limp mode. The only code showing up in diagnostics now is C1956 Steering angle sensor circuit failure.

My question is, would the Steering angle sensor cause the car to go into limp mode. I have had my tracking done 3days ago so can rule that out also.

Thank you if you need anymore details ask me and I can answer

Andy.

I go out to a few breakdowns with similar faults, I have re calibrated the steering angle with the lap top plugged in and seemed to have cured it on those occasions.

Thanks for your reply,

Would it worth me buying a new sensor and getting it fitted?

Cheers,
Andy.

I'd try having it recalibrated first mate and see how that goes
