MK2 Focus ST Suspension comfort question.
Despite my username I have never owned an ST.
I wanted one but never got one.
Looking at getting one for the girlfriend.
So she can use it daily.
Approaching 40 and have done all the harsh bumpy rides over the years, we are looking for a bit of comfort.
Now, what are they like standard?
We need to test drive one I know.
Also is there a lowering kit that will lower the car but not be a harsh ride?
Roads round here are not the best, are they anywhere?
Thanks in advance.

suspension is decent as original or you can tweak it a bit with eibach springs which still keeps the quality ride, choices for mk2 suspension are endless and to all budgets and tastes
OK great, thanks.
Have heard of Eibach over the years.
Don't want to ruin it with hard suspension.
Would like to lower it a bit as they sit high at the back.
What do you think of this one?
Seems a bit cheap,

the block is a known weak point even on standard engines but if wanting to get into anything over 280hp the block mod & rs clutch as well as a few other parts are a must too and only buy ones with proof, no proof no sale or you will regret it, these cars selling cheap is for a reason

Did hear about the liners 1-PD.
So best to get one that has had a clutch and history of block mod.
Like you say, pay a bit more and save money in the long run.
bigmac, I had a set on my old Mk4 Astra.
Found them to be pretty good.

My Mk2 ST was on original then eibach springs & my Mk2.5 is on original springs. Found them an improvement on the Mk1 Focus however.
