Default Group stands - The old days

As a long term member of the RSOC, past 3 Door Registrar and Passionford forum member I have made many friends over the years.
I always enjoyed the shows, looking at the cars, meeting people and making new friends.
Over the past few years I haven't been to many shows and tbh lost a bit of interest in everything.
Looking back, I really enjoyed everything and had some great times, so was thinking, would there be any interest in getting a stand together at RSOC National Day and Ford Fair for members/forum users of the past.
I know increasing values over the last few years has dissolved the Cosworth/RST/RS/old skool owners attending shows etc, but it would be great to get everyone together for a great big display/catch up.
Many fond memories of RS Mat, Pete (Mr clean Cossy), Paul L (Mr Rs500) Colin/Steve Newbery, (sorry I have missed loads of friends) to name a few of the friends over the years.
Could we get an "Old days stand" together????

Hi Jason due to propaganda from certain individuals on here both shows have not been well attended through pf but I'd be willing to help as it sounds a great idea

with the prices of some rs's and cossies both are expensive. You've got a minter.

I'm sure between now and when your both older you will both go through some shoe's together

And introducing cars to your son will be good and give you something both to enjoy.

I have to day that i agree with a lot of the sentiments expressed regarding some of the big, Ford only shows. In general I've found them poorly organised and containing very little of interest for me, and won't be attending any more for the foreseeable future.
I'm leaning toward the mixed shows these days, which offer so much more variety.
WIth that in mind, I think a 3dr stand at something like Silverstone Classic would be a great thing to try and organise

Those days have sadly gone Jason I’m afraid, we had some cracking stands over the years and great crack too, the time I spent polishing my split rims

Wish I still owned this though
