I'm trying to find out which dealer my car came from ..im told the last two letters of reg plate state the area ..been told mines Manchester ..ive also just filled in a V888 and was going to send it off to DVLA but someone says they won't as it comes under the data protection act now ..is there any other way of finding out ..ive had all the history and paper work out to no avail as well.

it was manchester Matt ,the link above gives you all the old locations ,cant help any more on your dealer search but may be worth googling rs dealers in manchester in 1988/89 and you may get a list come up

Thanks mate really appreciate it ..a lad with a F plate saph cosworth with the ending CJA has just messaged me would that car be from the same dealers do ya know ? As mine ends cja as well.

He's sent me this ..and ivw found 3 reciepts from the same place for 1988 and 1989

click on the large pic of the number plate and scoll right it comes up route one ford,number plates, dealer sticker ,tax disc holder,just make sure you get the number plate made up with the old style font of letters as they would have had in 89
