In Episode 1 we discuss the project brief and source a car as our project basis.
In Episode 2 we will be looking in more depth at the re-engineering of the suspension and drivetrain and find out how good (or bad!) the shell turns out to be.
Our challenge is to build a re-engineered MK1 Escort that utilises technologies and processes that were unavailable or uneconomical in the 1960's whilst retaining the essence of the original car's driving experience and tailoring the whole package to our client's requirements. No easy task when the client in question designed the McLaren F1!
And the rest depending on there hourly rate. Some of the shit boxes we do can easily run into 800hours just for the metalwork.

That's how it works out most of the time. And when you get into developing a car for more power, brake mods, suspension etc it can add up and try telling the customer that ! It can be a difficult conversation.
