T5 gear knob
My sapphire come with a after market gear knob which I want to put back to standard
It’s a screw off knob
My new gear knob as in the picture seems to big for the thread to screw on
Is there some sort of sleeve
I must be missing something

Are you sure its the right gear knob? The standard one should just screw straight on and tighten up. There is no seperate sleeve. I had an aftermarket gear knob on my 2WD Saff for years but still had the original Ford one so put it back on with no problem.
