Right I'm putting together a 200 block with long studs and WRC oil spray jets and I would like to can I use a 2wd oil pump as it will be going into a 4x4 sump . The reason for this question is 2wd pumps are so much cheaper than 4x4 and I won't be using the cosworth oil spray jet setup .
So im thinking 2wd hi pressure oil pump and pinto oil pick up pipe . Will this fit into a 4x4 sump ?

If your using oil spray jets use a small turbo oil pump and updated spring , that's what I use , no problem at all

as said if using the spray jets a small turbo esc cos set up is what you need

Just built a new engine up for my 2wd with 200 block and mountune wrc oil squirters.
I have used the burton high pressure wrc pump with a standard pinto pickup. I am on a 2wd sump though. Got it started last week and looking good so far.

wot PSI was you seeing on start up .
and when it had got up to temp

On start up not sure exactly will make a mental note next time but is very high when cold.
I have a cheap 10w40 in it at the moment for running in and is 25psi at hot idle.

Thanks for the replys lads iv been in the garage and a 2wd pump will fit in a 4x4 sump BUT the 2wd oil pick up pipe and spray jets will sit flush on the bottom of the sump witch is not good as it will get starved of oil . the 4x4 pick up pipe sites about 10mm of the bottom of the sump so I'm thinking of modding a 2wd pipe by 10mm witch is very simple to do and on the plus I proffer the 2wd pump over the 4x4 pump . That's the set up I'm going to use in my 205 block motor but my 200 block motor I'm all so building with spray jets iv ordered a pinto setup witch I will check and mod if needed
