Default Q7 v12 swirl flap delete

Got an issue with our car 2010 Audi Q7 v12 TDI

Has gone into limp mode with emmisions and management faults showing, garage have said swirl flap failure and dpf blocked

The question is can I just get the flaps and dpf removed them just remap it to suit ?

Any help much appreciated
Cheers

I think you will need to be certain that it will still pass the mot and if so you will probably be ok. I would want assurances that I am not going to be spilling black soot out everywhere.

The engine bay is crammed, inlet manifold is £3500 and 20 hours to fit ! In my mind there is no way a 6 litre v12 needs poxy swirl flaps

That’s the problem with modern diesels if there not used hard they suffer. Same with trucks the egr shit they put on too make euro 6 causes no end of problems on ones that don’t work hard. I bet that thing of yours is shockingly expensive to look after with major issues

Absolutely, it's a load of bollox to add such complication to most engines these days and it is largely all the fucking deluded braindead hippy retards who are forcing it.

Those things must be a fucking torque monster to drive !

You can see why dpf’s Egr and ad blue are used. If you go out in something and watch nox levels before and after the cat on something like a euro 6 engine it gets the levels down to fook all. Far to complicated now though. Like the latest euro 6 stuff. As they have to meet emissions levels right from start up un like euro 5. The newest daf trucks have egr to resurculate exhaust gases and help get the engine up to temp as quickly as possible so the after treatment system can take over. Things are getting far to complicated these days lol

740 lbft standard, I'd guess it will be well north of 800lbft once its mapped, it's a weapon considering it must weigh about 3 ton lol

It does school runs every day which is a short journey, will see what they say at tuners when we get it there, I've just checked they give it 600 hp 1200 NM after remap but as we know they always load it up I'd guess more 550 1100 will be more realistic

If it does mainly the school run your going to continue to have problems all its life. A petrol would have been a better option.it's going to get clogged up like mad.

There isnt any petrol engined vehicle around that's going to feel like that V12 diesel. And in a huge vehicle like that....that diesel is ideal.

Is it red?

Our company has just bought a load of new daf and mercedes trucks. Fair play they are really quiet on tickover and seem to pull fairly well. They are fully loaded nearly all the time too. I guess time will tell just how much grief they will give!

I was looking at these for sale the other day, all the ones had an 'interesting' choice of interior spec, which seems common on expensive cars these days! What is yours like?

One had awful tan seats and wood all over

Ours is black leather, it's not here atm but I'm sure there is wood here and there, I like the interior looks good, very comfortable and has bang and Olufsen sound system and little speakers pop out here and there when it's turned on

have to get some pictures of the speakers and how they work.

I've just started getting rid of my current audi and already I miss the bose system in it, just so crystal clear even turned up to 11.

It is a bloody good stereo, but it ought to be £4k optional extra to original owner, it's alot better sound than the bose in my gtr, but it's a £104k car new with the extras I think my gtr was only £52k in 09

I have the Meridian 1400 watt system in my Autobiography Rangie, it has subs under the seats etc and sounds brilliant, again, the first owner spent thousands on it as an option, the technician said there are something like 20 speakers in the car.

Can see why not many v12 q7s were sold not many people gonna pay £100k for one, but as a second hand car at 1/3 the price seemed a bargain to me

My mondeo stereo.

Sat nav,3g internet,cd,dvd,mp3,usb,sd(optional tv) reverse camera. Also has head rest monitors. Can record cds onto sd card. Also blue tooth with contacts saved to phone. Can also store up to 8 pics of your own choice. Not bad for 140 quid new.

It weighs nearly 3 ton so it's quick but not over the top still, I can help but think now how much more would be available with a free flowing exhaust, intakes and some bigger turbos lol

Get em fitted.

My new Rangie is 500 kilos lighter than the last, the last one was chipped to nearly the same power but the new one is MUCH quicker, weight makes such a huge difference.

3 ton is a big chunk to get moving

ive just had a look don't know where I got 3 ton from lol, Q7 v12 is 2605 kg, my range rover sport tdv8 3.6 is 2685 kg early 05 model I think.

The main thing with the Q7 is those carbon brakes without them it would be a death trap when getting on it alot of weight to stop

About £10k I think for replacements, or they do a conversion for non carbon which is cheaper
