Default My track car and tow vehicle finally with pics

My track car, sorry its a bmw but i needed something cheap and pretty competitive so it ticked all the right boxes.

My track car and tow vehicle finally with pics-yjksdox.jpg

My track car and tow vehicle finally with pics-f8osr5t.jpg

Both these pics taken at castle coombe.

Then this was on show at my local ford so be rude not to lay in front of it.

Cool cars..all 3 of them although don't like the flat gt40 paint.

What engine is in the track car? 328 or m3?

Just a 328 with generic remapped ecu m50 inlet and air filter it's a good 220bhp.

Not long had the estate that's a 325tds with a manual box.

Not looked into yet, realistically I can hire a truck 6 times just for the price of doing my tow license. Would be much happier using a flat bed

The 328 feels every bit of the m3 until the last 2000 revs so pretty good anyway.

Good spec estate. I had a new 330d with power pack recently and it had most of the m3 power of n e36 but over 500 lb ft of torque...I think those 325s remap well

The estate is chipped but it's proper old school Diesel engine, best way to describe the boost coming in is like waiting for a bus lol.

My wife has a e46 320d big intercooler 330d turbo and mapped it goes well.

Yep over weight, i might just borrow a trailor and get a pic just for the sake of it as it would look pretty cool.

A nice cold and wet brands, it was so slippery but also so much fun. Trying to learn the car in these conditions is really worth it.

Did a day at Castle Combe the other day, the day did not go smoothly but still had a cracking day.

My track car and tow vehicle finally with pics-g15fukq.jpg

I was not getting towed off so i managed to jam it in first and start the car, basically my slave decided to give up.

I need to tighten up my anti roll bars due to the grip of the new tyres. It does not feel like its leaning too bad in the car.

I've had nearly 100 cars since I started driving, never had a bmw though. I've taken a few out for a spin and they are good cars just never got around to buying one. The blue one you had before looks good, was thinking what it would look like minus the rear spoiler then scrolled down to the side shot of the new car and bingo

The blue was nice but was due a lot of work really, my wife fell pregnant so i sold it.

To be fair the silver one is so much track dedicated than the blue one. The silver car has a carbon csl style boot lid, I didn't really fancy a spoiler. The car is so much fun and so driveable, anyone could get in it and drive it hard the chassis gives so much feed back and warning.

They are one of my favourite ones too. I have had a few now, strange as I have always loved sierra's. They are just to expensive compared to the old e36 even though the value of them is getting questionable. The old drift boys have smashed them all up.
