Hi all I'm putting back together my 89 saph cos and want to see if I can get some parts from the dealer, any body recommend any dealers or parts departments that are helpful or how I go about getting finis codes too save hassle? Thanks in advance

 

Unfortunately the likelihood of you still finding new parts for your 1989 Saff Cos from Ford main dealers will be a struggle. What parts are you after?

 

Header tank4x4, pas reservoir, fuel brake pipe clips, rear clips for starters, see them on e bay new, but want to go direct to dealer if I can mate

Not sure what Lee can offer you but you could try Motomobil in Germany as they do have a lot of new parts for Sierras and Cosworths. They are very helpful and speak English if you phone them looking for parts.

 

You can still get header tanks from ford, think they are about Ł100

 

4x4 header tanks are still available but not much else

 

Problems you will face...
Unhelpful dealers,places online showing stock of an item-you pay but only find out it's out of stock when they refund you a day later.
When I did my car I scoured the net high and low,searched eBay every morning and night for the item by name then finis number.
Eventually I got everything I wanted but very little came from the dealers,my advice is if you see what you want online then buy it while it's there then print the PayPal transaction receipt for your records.
My local parts man is very keen to find parts but there's so many places buying up all the dealers unused old stock there's very little lying about in ford warehouses these days so most of the time he can get me the finis number,the last time he sold that part,the location it's kept in at the main depot but not the part itself as it's long gone.
