Hi all,

i have a 2005 st 170 and the battery light flickers on when driving. I have changed the battery as the test came back low but the light still flickers. I have had the alternator tested and came back as 13.88 to 14.00 is this right?

any help would be greatful.

doesn't sound excessively low to be perfectly honest.


are you suffering from battery drain at all? if no, I'd be inclined to leave it if you can put up with the light coming on every so often

 

Common issue with "Smart charge" and nothing unique to your model.

The usual problem is a loose connection on the 3 pin plug on the alternator.

Did you get a silver calcium battery?
