Question Moondust shade of

Hi there guys this is my first post on here,
I bought a Zetec S 1600, 2002 , very well looked after no kid's racing it etc, a very good example of this car,
Just the rear wheel arches to be sorted really, i cut out the bad areas, treated the bear metal, fiber glassed and filler, a labour of love, but upon putting the base coat on which i was told was Moondust it looked no real match, so i contacted Ford and they supplied me with

PNZJB code which i'm told is the shade of moondust it is,
As a newbe at this , yes i used Rattle can, ouch i hear you sayying, but no where seems to be able to supply me this code of paint, any idea's please.

You'll never get silver to blend in that small of a area tbh let alone with a rattle can
You can affect the colour by spraying closer or further away from the panel, did you drop coat it on the final coat...?
There should be a paint shop local to you that can make anything up...

Thanks for your advise, well first i spent all night watching video's on prepping undercoating etc, i did do a drop coat but it was only the width of the masking tap about a inch and a half, just out of a matter of interest whats the difference between the colour close spay and further away, nice escorts by the way, i as the rest of the car is perfect, i guess it deserves a paint shop, thankyou

There's about 10 versions of moondust sliver, machine sliver, stardust sliver etc. You need to give them the VIN number and they'll get the paint code from that. The paint will have faded over time so as said very hard to get the blending down 100%.

Yes ford gave me this number PNZJB, after i contacted them to check my colour, that code i'v not got hold of as yet, but yes your right 15 years of sunlight etc can change the colour, plus the thought that at some point in its life it may of had a respray, but i have to say i'v enjoyed doing what i'v done, just would like to see it infinished right, thankyou
