Yeah got the lotus cortina for £65 told him it was scrap and got the Cossie for £100 lol

 

Sorry forgot to add the Cossie was in for mot but the cortina in for some bodywork in bodyshop next door

 

Would love a lotus cortina.

 

Apparently he just paid £30k for it and having a few blemishes sorted today and going into the auctions next week. Should make a tidy profit there

 

What's the going price for a nice lotus cortina these days?

 

I thought the 'Tina would be more than that. Nice cossie too.

It always feels nice when you visit a place and the people working on your car take interest and take pics etc...

 

I'm quite lucky with some of the stuff I get to mot, everything from a lotus Carlton to mk1 and 2 escorts, a mint mk4 xr31, some mk2 jags, quite a few Cossie's, American cars and a lot of custom yank stuff. A lot of people know that I'm into classic cars so they will only bring them to me for mot as so many youngsters now are mot testers but they can't mot the old stuff properly as they have no idea about them and tolerances etc.

One of the coolest and one of my favourite cars ever!!

 

Lotus cortina is amazing, I'd love one in my garage just to look at. I have driven a couple of mk1s and they are defiantly nicer to look at than drive, well that's just me as I've got used to creature comforts of a modern car like power steering and inertia seat belts.

Lol. I think it's the guys only car and he uses it everyday for everything. Sounded awesome in the workshop, I forgot how good the v6 sounds
