quick map sensor question
went to my 2wd cossie this mornin and it wouldnt run to cut a long story short i found the pipe to the map sensor split, i replaced it with the blue silicone stuff you get with a dump valve and it ticks over fine now, question is will this pipe be ok under load it wont get crushed or sucked in will it?
well it will see the same pressure as it would if used on a d/v, so if it's suitable for that, then it's suitable for MAP sensor connection.
if you really are concerned, you can check it by comparing the pressure on an analogue boost gauge with that sensed by the MAP sensor using a multimeter, but if there is going to be a problem with it collapsing or bursting, it will quickly show by running like a bag of shite (warning - continuing to run with this condition could cause engine damage)
