Default 2003 st170 front wheel spacers

Hi folks, had to replace front breaks and found that both front tyres had rubbed the inside wall down to the metal reinforcement wires, looks like they are rubbing on the tyre side of the engine bay.
Is there a specific wheel spacer kit for the 170?
think I'm gonna between 10&20 mm
thanks for any replies

if running them on a 170 then you have issues but if on the s2 shown in your avatar you will need at least 10mm spacers as 170 alloys are et49 and 20mm is way too much

Thanks 1-PD, unfortunately the rs had to go and now have the poor man's rs......miss the turbo though

They seem to be the standard 17" spoke wheels with the quite large FORD center cap until I seen the state of the inside wall of the front tyres and the worn body.
The new tyres were 215/40ZR17 and can hear the rubbing when pulling away slowly.
I've oredered a pair of 5mm spacers and hoping that will do the trick. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2823604953...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Thanks again

the hubs on non st models are slightly different in spacing which is why 170 wheels on non sts can rub, but that tyre size should not give any issues as original tyre size on a st is 215/45/17 but a mate has them on his saph and needed 12mm spacers with 215/40/17s

all right? how's yer father?

enough of the wurzel gags, if the cars has coilovers fitted then 5mm spacers are required but if on standard suspension it sounds like something is not quite right

Something's not right there. Could be any number of problems, but whatever it is wheel spacers won't solve it. Have you checked all your suspension and steering ? Bushes, joints, etc ?
