Interested to know what a genuine 5 owner 3dr Cosworth rolling shell would be worth with no history but has genuine hpi clear I'd and the shell is absolutely mint. Never been damaged. Has doors, boot lid and bonnet. The car would be missing interior, wheels, engine, box, diff, front and rear bumpers, rear spoiler and body kit. ?????

What's a genuine mint rs500 front bumper worth with fog lights, grills and splitter? Also what's a genuine rs500 rear upper whale tail/spoiler worth and genuine lower rs500 spoiler??

I'd guess 6k for the shell if mint and 4k for the rs500 bits.

 

should be worth a decent amount

 

The parts are worth what someone is willing to pay at the time


I was told both 500 spoilers were worth £2500 but best offer I got was £1500 so sold for that


Front bumper I was told are worth £3000, mine was very good condition. I sold it bare without splitter etc on auction on ebay for only £1600

Thats what I was thinking.

I know that people like "original" but if the one you are buying did not leave the factory on your car then it isn't original really. I would prefer to have a replica one on there and save the money for other bits.

mr X has just paid 100K for a very low mileage mint rs500, his foot slips off the clutch in his garage and he destoys the bumper on the garage wall
his 100K sierra is now not a 100K sierra, im sure he would pay 3k to keep his 100K sierra an 100K sierra

Hypothetically yes someone will pay it, but 95% of 'normal' people won't and it's them who dictate the market.

You'll always find someone who's willing to pay whatever it costs to get the best/nicest things but they don't dictate the market as there just aren't enough of these people out there.

Also I doubt many 100k 500's actually get started let alone driven

 

Good example and can agree with that.

I think a lot of £100k RS500's are advertised for that but probably never actually change hands. I have a £100k 205 gti if anyone wants it.
