Default Restoring my s2 escort rs turbo

I'm new to all this but thought I'd like to share my new project on my s2 G Reg escort Rs turbo.
I'll update it as and when each part is done any help would be great

This is what she looks like now and for some strange reason the previous keeper decided to put a Rs 2000 engine in it

But I do have the original engine which is being taken apart to find out what it's like inside

I'll update again as soon as some work gets started
First thing I'm going to do wile the engine is getting sorted is take all the Interior out And get the floor Weilded

I'd pull all the bodykit off and get the carpets as these can be hiding rot nightmares! as I learned when I bought mine. Then worry about the engine/running gear later.

I'm not sure about using the rs2000's bits. However I think going EFI would be a smart move.

I'd whip the dash out as well. Them footwells can sometimes rust all the way up to the scuttle.

May be worthwhile asking around to see if Koni offer a refurbishment service, best of both worlds if they do

See if you can get the Koni's checked/rebuilt as Koni no longer make adjustable shocks for mk4s.

You can get your Konis rebuilt. A guy called Shaun Pickering (sp suspension) did mine I got his number off the Koni main site.

Cheers

I no many of you will dislike what I've done to the interior but I've been looking for new for 4 months and nothing is good enough so I got the lot reupholstered ito my liking i'm hoping within a month I have already built back together

The seats look good. But need the Recaro badges to really finish them off!

The chip is as it says on the sticker, powerchips... Its a decent enough chip. This search took me 10 seconds:

http://www.powerchips.com/history/

What did you type in the search bar?

Anyway I tried to edit my post but couldn't I'm waiting for the guy to get an Rs made up and my recovery badges restored to look new then he's going to replace that whole rectangle but it takes 7 weeks
Thanks for the repy
