Hi chaps, had an interesting car booked in at work and the jobs been given to me, it's a Capri 2.0 laser and it's stunning! Got to take the gearbox out and it's being rebuilt with uprated gears (apparently?) and I've to fit a new carburettor and a modern stereo system. I'll add some pics when I start it on Monday!

I've driven it round the estate at work a bit and brings back so many memories. I want another one!!

 

I remember driving one my mate paid a grand for, spent more time looking out the side windows than the front. He sold it to some girl for 20 quid with a full tank as we all kept cracking jokes at it, he lost out big time with that one

 

Yeah I remember them days mate, they were looked at as a joke back then!

Well if the customer finds out gets the hump and demands something to be done what will your boss do?
I could post pics of allsorts of exoctic cars but the owners would not be pleased.

I went out for a test drive and dropped a customers car off to be followed by my work mate in another car only to find a pic of me getting into it on facebook.....then my other mate finding it and sent me the pic car was a bugatti eb110...

 

I know exactly what my boss would say to them lol, prob add money on the bill

Was nice to actually enjoy my job for a change! Currently down the eye hospital having half a ford Capri taken out my eye lol

 

That looks like a really clean one. Loved my one when it had a pinto, so easy to work on screwed it every where never let me down.

a very tidy example, must be nice to work on something a bit different to the norm.

 

Got the gearbox back today from the gearbox specialists, nicely painted up too! Back on the car Monday to fit box and new clutch from burton power. Then got to fit a customer supplied stereo.
