Is the Puma linkage not considered these days? I have one laying around that I was going to put into my Orion, may not bother now lol

i've seen b&m's fetch up to £250 recently, mega money for what they are. i had a puma linkage in my mk3 escort and it was a massive improvement on the standard linkage

B&m's are the business. Ive had a few and got to fit one to my combi van when i get a chance. I had a burton quick shift in my xr2 turbo a few years back which was excellent.

Puma linkage best way to go if you dont mind drilling a few holes in the floorpan and creating a spring return (for neutral).

If you can find the springs and the the 2 brushes for the linkage, you'll be onto a winner. Pack new grease in the 'box' and you'll have a freshly rebuilt linkage, with a shorter throw. Plus while its apart you can either get the 2 linkage arms re-zinced or respray them bronze/gold.

You'll need a vise to cut the stick, I didnt have decent tools so a local garage just sorted mine out for £20.
