ongoing problem help please
rs turbo s2 zvh cosworth managment coil pack wasted spark number 3 cylinder does not fire correctly when i take the plug out it is wet petrol but when i touch the metal body it fires brilliant and when i put a noid bulb on the injector thats bright aswell is there a reason why it might not firing in the cylinder 1 2 4 cylinders fire spot on

Compression test the engine. You have spark and fuel.

 

done that all cylinders read the same

 

Swap plug leads 2 & 3 see if the problem moves to cylinder 2. Could be a knackered coil pack.

is this the problem when i start it up number 3 does fire a little bit for about 30 seconds then stops when i take the plug out its wet but the other thing is when it is running on the other 1 2 4 cylinders and i take the lead off with the spark plug in the head nothing happens and when you take the injector clip off aswell still nothing happens so in other words why does the spark and injector stop working at the same time

Maybe worth just scoping the loom mate if that's ok I would get the PCB checked see if there's any cracks under heat etc. When did it start or was it out the blue or after a hot run etc

 

its been doing it for months but i go to my caravan a lot in the summer so i do not have time sent my ecu to jano at oddkids he said its spot on so i am waiting for it to come back to try again
