Managed to find a spare few hours today to do another wheel. 3 down and one to go

Cheers matey don't get any spare time normally these days so was nice to get a good few hours to do what I want to do for a change

 

Looks good for a tin job. That's how I refurb all my wheels and always get a cracking finish as I don't buy cheap paint. Hate doing multi spokes tho lol

 

Thanks mate. I had a chap who paints aircraft parts for a living say where did I get my wheels refurbished lol. Can't get a better compliment than that! I hear u on the multi spokes mate, I was losing the will to live after a while sanding the insides of the spokes down. I have a 6" da Sander but it was too big so bought a blue point 3" one off the snap on man and works a treat, can only do the top with it though

 

I used to work alongside aircraft painters for 10 years, they are the gashest bodgers known to man

I do my wheels every few months with spray cans rather than paying someone Ł250-300 a time to do them. 3 cans of colour and 2 laquers enough to do my set of 5 on my merc and the finish is good enough for me and is as good if not better than some ive seen from proper wheel refurb places ! mine are 17" amg 7 spokes so not to fiddly to get in about to rub down and take a couple of hours each to finish.

Painting the last wheel today, under the gazebo in pouring rain in the mother In laws garden. Oh well tea and coffee on tap!!

 

Finished at last. Sanding down all them spokes!

 

I'll get them on the car next week and put some pics up
