Hello.
Does anyone recognise the chip in my Escort rs turbo ecu.
It's a 1986 red blue white ecu.
The chip is a eeprom with erase window on it.
It looks factory soldered on the board. No signs of resoldering.

My standard ecu has a non erasable chip in it.

That is a factory fit, standard Motorola fit chip.

 

This is a standard one.
The first one is programmable.....so thats odd....

As said deffo look standard and AV never seen a chipped ecu with the protector cover still fitted

 

In your first pic, thats a standard factory fit chip. My then standard RS had that chip red/blue/white 1986 D reg. I had that metal protector on it, and the tamper sticker was intact.

My now ECU is red/blue/white with a metal protector over it and a chip with it's not motorola either.

 

Go check fueling with wideband lambda... as when you put chip, very rare situation is that all working perfect. Needs a bit of adjustment.
