Had a invite over to Trust Ford in Alperton wembley today as they had lined up a few cars for a special promo featuring the fordGT, had a Mustang hard & soft top as well as FRS, did not bother with pics of the frs as they bore me tbh
I love the new mustang everytime I see one it reminds me of being on holiday. You got to sit in it, I was going to say they could have at least cleaned the floor mats as it looks like some buggers been in it from a building site with rigger boots on.
At least it looks like they tried updating the mustangs interior from the last gen, when I had one on holiday it just felt so basic and dated. I've been trying to get a later one to take for a spin and see if its worth going for one of them cars or not.
That gt just looks mad and like some crazy concept car from back in the 80's

that was prob me who dirtied the mats as I had a good play in it
Do you like this one? I think most of your posts seem to have something negative to say about the RS
GT does look nice in white. Not 100% sure on the interior though.
my posts are negative only over the rs looks as its bland and a more door, from what I saw today the rs500 should address most of them issues, never doubted how good the drive train was only issues were cosmetic, as for the mustang and the gt40 yes please even the fiesta rs is tidy but again shame its a 5dr, also liking the sync 3 new media system dead easy to use and very up to date
Nice pics of the GT, looks like a crazy beast and I hope to see one in the flesh one day.
Mustangs were a disappointment for me, spent ages looking at them online then when my dealer got one in I was underwhelmed by its presence. Of course there is no substitute for a V8 rumble by that wasn't enough for me. Also know the RS will drive/handle far better.
they had plenty of details on it but they will be pushing the ST line more as it will sell better and in higher numbers, from what I was shown it will be approx 250hp and available in usual RS colours but a 5dr

some of them do look very plain but the black soft top looked great in the flesh and interior trim levels and spec were impressive, and when you get into the options for it theres so many things on offer its very easy to beef up the look, a 5litre soft top with manual trans is a option as are racing stripes and fatter wheels and has heated and cooling seats also comes with sync 3 media system now which is very good and new RSs will also come with sync3, older RSs have sync2 which is not that great

they had a RS in showroom glenn myself and others all but walked past it, was there around 90mins and saw 1 other person in that time looking at it, mustangs drew punters in and when they saw the gt in the flesh all I heard was wow

I wouldn't let that worry you too much, the engine is a bit of a monster. It's a shame they couldn't use the 5.0 V8 as a basis for an EcoBoost but the car is so compact under the skin that it never would have fitted.
It's certainly like no Ford ever made with some of the tech in it. EcoBoost in some form was a given though as they are pushing the brand hugely.
Steve. As said i do like the rs and i would have one but i have always liked big american cars and im glad the mustang is now over in britain as a right hand drive.
I think the rs is more usable for people cause its a 4 door, this would be easier if you have kids to get them in and out of the back seat.
