Default 2wd saff on its way

Here we go again..
Bought another stage 1 cosworth about 18months ago and decided to mod, stage one is not enough lol. I've had a few 400bhp cosworth cars over the years but want more power now.
Started with the backend and running gear. MK rear beam, MK diff mount new tank, new fuel pump cradle, new bearings, Polly mounts, rebuild drive shafts, big tooth gearbox, uprated diff and rebuild balanced prop.

Cleaned and resealed the bottom car it was mint underneath I really wanted to concourse the bottom but then thought whats the point I want to drive it not worrie about cleaning it.

I also bought another engine to build up so i can still use the car. That didn’t turn out well, cracked block so sold it on ebay and got 250 quid back. I sourced another mint standard bore 200 block so back on track. I did buy the engine knowing I wanted to rebuild but just didn't see the crack which is a pisser it even had the pump drive missing from inside the block so would of gone back any way. It wasn’t all a disaster the crank and head were mint, 138.9mm on the head.
Here some pictures I’ve been taking though the build, hopefully the engine will be in the car 2weeks, run it in then up to the tuners for mapping.

Very nice bud what spec is your engine and what power are you expecting? My last Saff was 400bhp, I'm currently building the my first Cossie up again as I broke it to build my grey one. I'm undecided on what power to run, I'd love to see what 500bhp is like but on the other side I'd like a nice reliable car I can use regularly

very nice

are you going to brace the turbo/manifold, was quite surprised to see how far out the manifold places the turbo. Looks a lovely bit of kit though!

I should just wack the 7670 on and should achieve 580ish but the torque is roughly same or sometimes lower than the 7064?

Mark MAD recently mapped a saff on a standard engine which had a Hart/AS inlet, spec r cooler and that was 477bhp and 545lb torque so hopefully with a worked head and cam I may see the 500bhp?

Cheers, only part that my let it down is the inlet. I'm running a 4x4 with 10mm spacer. If that holds it back will change to a AS inlet.

i suppose the beauty of it is you will be able see if the inlet holds it back when its being mapped. And if it does restrict it its pretty easy to sort out and have a map adjustment

any idea when its going for mapping fella?

It was booked in start at the start of August. But the build has taken longer than i thought and dont want to rush the builder.

I'm not going to book in for mapping until the engine is in the bay now. hopefully will be booking in approx 3 weeks time for when ever M.A.D are ready.

Been trying to sort out the last piece of the puzzle which has been the oil drain back. I bought a pipe with a 3/8 npt fitting which goes into the turbo but the other end doesn't fit over the sump end I'd have to cut off and weld on a AN10 fitting so my engine builder decided to make the pipe instead which I should of just done in the first place engine would of been done 2weeks ago.

Engine all done now oil return on, exhaust wrapped, just the oil filter left which I'll collect on Monday. Then just got to wait for the builder to drop it the hole.

Only thing I'm not sure on now are the hose's. I've bought grey pro hoses but they look nothing like colour seen on the web. Pro hoes are happy to take back and replace for black but I didnt want black or blue I want to be a bit different. I know samco do grey but not sure who to use to purchase and knowing samco they will be double the price.

Any way how she looks now.
