Just done the EFI conversion using Megasquirt.

The only issue I'm having is that after the car has been run up to temp with the cooling fan running once the car is turned off the cooling fan keeps running for a few mins.

Last night I re- wired the fan wiring by using the fan switch to trigger a relay which then runs the fan. So the whole wiring to the fan is brand new, But the fan still runs once the car is switched off.

Is there settings in the ECU I have missed or am I missing something simple. Any help would be great.

Where is your relay getting it's live from?

 

The fan is getting its live from the battery. I'm wondering if I should try powering it from a switched live.

 

Yeah that's what you need to do, mine is the same, keep meaning to alter it. Ignition fed live to one side of the relay then the fan switch to earth on the other side. With the main feed from the battery to the switching part of relay and out the other side of that to the fans. Hope that makes sense.

 

I will have a look at mine later and tell you the pin numbers on a relay and which to connect where.

 

As soon as I wrote switched live it clicked as to where I have been going wrong.
