Default Another Rover turbo

Just got this, wasn't particularly after one but I couldn't say no.totally standard, 66k and one owner from new, its a late 1998 registered model as it was one of the 300 or so sent to Japan but came back as it never sold.It really is good fun to drive, I wasn't expecting it to be as quick as it is! Undecided what to do with it yet though.
Excuse the crap pics,

Looks tidy! I thought all the ones that were returned from Japan were registered with plates ending in fdh.

Possibly, the original owner had a private plate on it up untill I bought it off him. He did mention he was disappointed it hadn't gone back on its original plate when I picked it up. I'll see if I can find out what it was, I've seen it somewhere

Indeed they do end with FDH. I had 5 of these coupe tomcat turbos back in the day, i loved them.
Half or full leather? Aircon or not?

Cheers. Lee.

Yeah full leather and aircon,
Also the roof has 2x large glass panels which can be taken completely out or tilted like a normal sunroof. Is this a standard feature? Ive not seen this before.

Yes, turbos had t bar roof so you could remove both panels plus the bar. I quite liked mine, they need good bushes to help cure the torque steer and a decent exhaust releases over 20bhp without any other work at all.

Seems to be more love for these than I first thought, had a better response on here than I got from the non car enthusiasts I know. All I got from them was 'its a rover though' and 'the head gasket wont last'

This was my first car, I know it's not a turbo or even a coupe, but it got me into these old rovers.

It would destroy my mates mk2 cavalier Sri though which was a bonus!

It was a 1.6 Honda engine. Went like shit off a shovel and spent nearly a year bouncing off the limiter when I was 18 haha. Electric everything and cheap to insure (well cheaper than the equivalent nova!)
