Default 2002 Focus ST170

Back to 2 Ford's.......just picked this 93k 2002 Focus ST170 up. Drove spot on the 110 miles home. Except the road noise as all 4 tyres are on the wrong way round lol

Needs a damn good clean, going to my brothers next week for full service, new wiper blades, new number plates and tyres.*

It's got one black mirror cover, so need to sort that. No rust, but does need the front bumper re-painting, top grill fitting properly, and some little dents doing....oh, and a good mop & polish.

Spent all day on the ST, seats scrubbed, hoovered, leather treated, top grill fixed, spare ariel fitted, my old MK2 focus mats fitted, washed, polished, waxed, and mirror cover painted ready to fit tomorrow.

Oh, and my lovely wife Re-painted the ST red again.

Cheers mate, looks cleaner in pics.....bonnet needs mopping, and front bumper needs a respray. But very straight and no bubbly arches.....it's my favourite colour in the ST170.

Nice car that mate,
You've done a great job on the valeting. Drove a few of these and they feel very solid and handle like there on rails

My brother called round today, said bring your car round to work. Hours later, car was mopped, polished, waxed and hand glazed. Results are awesome!

Staying there now for service, new tyres, and number plates. We put aero wipers on the front and new rear wiper blade whilst we were there.

Cheers Glenn, came up really good. Just need the bumper respraying. There are marks on the car but it looks mint for 14 yr old car that had been sat under a tree for weeks!

I see it all the time as on average myself and a mate I rip apart a 170 every 2 weeks, some have been real shockers where a mask was needed

I was close to using a mask lol.....but I knocked him down on price, to cover the cleaning and really is a solid car. Had a look underneath today whilst it was up on the ramp. Got a heat shield up the front that isn't attached to anything lol

So my brother rang me today when he was putting the tyres on......."can you get some wheel nuts, there's 4 locking nuts on both front wheels, and two each on the rears"

So Ł30 lighter now, but luckily all keys were there, and sold two sets already. And left one set on the car.

I always take a car round to the foreghners and pay ÂŁ20 for a full inside and out when I sell a car. Be silly not to. Some of the cars I've bought are hundreds cheaper just because it looks shit but underneath the dirt u sometimes find a gem

I've always gave my cars a full valet, even to trade them in lol

I'm happy, as this has come up really well.

Finally picked the ST up from my brothers work.......it's had the works lol*
New tyres,*wiper blades, number plates, K&N*panel filter, oil filter & Petronas oil, Denso plugs, fuel filter, timing belt kit (inc guides & pulleys), alternator belt, water pump, cam cover gasket and a air con re-gas.

The car is so much better, sounds great and loads more responsive.*

So now I can get on with all the little jobs I need to do. And have some fun driving it.*

It needed it lol......I brought the car cheap, knowing it needed tlc. But still works out a good price.

Spark plugs were totally shot, looked original.....pure black and gaps were massive!

The whole engine sounds and drives totally different, due to all the work......throttle response is loads better, but that might be because of the spark plugs too......they were shot!!!

Cheers mate

Got a few things done today.*

Painted the stereo fascia and gear stick surround in magnum grey. Will be fitted during the week once the paint has hardened.

Fitted a replacement air deflector, and a quick clean. Think some painting in the engine bay may be required.

Refurbed the gear knob, still needs a bit more polishing and leather needs dying.
