Anyone know where I can find 3dr cosworth rear quarter window mouldings. Glass hopefully going back in soon so really need a set ASAP.
Any help very much appreciated. Can't find them anywhere!

 

You will be very lucky to find some I couldn't find any sometimes they come up on eBay at stupid prices
East Kent trimmers where looking into making them

 

I will try East Kent to see what the story is tomorrow. Can I ask what you used as an alternative?
I will keep looking and cross my fingers I find something before the glass is due to go back in.

Unfortunately I have no old ones I can re use. Spoke to East Kent trim this morning. These trim surrounds and clips are indeed going to be remanufactured but the process could take some time.
I'm gonna keep searching but if I find nothing before the car returns from paint I'm gonna replace the glass using the same profile rubber seal used for the rear screen and replace the trim when they become available.

 

Anyone able to help with this? Been told they may be the same on early base spec 3dr Sierras?

 

some people are using the rubber trim similar to the rear window - east kent trim are supplying these

 

Thanks R4N SS. I've got plenty of this trim which I bought from East Kent Trim.
I'd rather get the real thing though! The more time I spend restoring the car the fussier I'm getting about getting all the details right!

 

Ran is the moulding on the base model the same as the cosworth one?

 

The mouldings are the same as some base models I think. I now have a passenger one so just the drivers side and clips if possible. Any help greatly appreciated.

as far as i could tell the based model i had was the same - just silver metal finish instead of black like the cosworth.

I have heard east kent trim are looking into reproducing these but not sure how long it will be

must be euro thing then as most i have seen are all silver metal finish.

Luckily my 3dr rep ahs the correct ones but im struggling to find the lower rs500 rear spoiler brackets

 

East Kent are in the process of manufacturing them as I spoke to them last week. Problem is they could yet be months away from being available to buy.

My base model are black and we're originally but the L spec 3 door I've got had silver

It came with black rear window surrounds that I binned when new glass went in

I now finally have got the mouldings so can crack on with getting it together. Thanks for everyone who helped me find a set!
I've still not got the clips for refitting the mouldings but have read they are not required as everything is bonded in!
Is this true or should I get the clips as well? Has anyone on here fitted these before?

Where did you get them fom

 

I got one from a guy who had a spare passenger one and the drivers side from Gary at rs cosworth breakers. Gary may have more in stock but it's a bit of a long shot as it took him a while to get my one. Oh and if he does they will be £200 each. A set sold last week on eBay for £120 but the guy would not deliver and they were in Luton.
