This is my first post on PassionFord, so please treat me with care!


Having recently rebuilt a T5 gearbox, I keep getting an anxiety attack. When I stripped and rebuilt it, the little plastic oiler funnel that fits to the end of the countershaft was missing. Is this essential, or was it just a thoughtful (but useless) item Mr Borg or Mr Warner had thought about?


The gearbox is still sitting underneath the workbench.

You definitely need it as its the oil feed for the 5th gear. Easy fit though just remove the rear housing.

Where's the most likely place to get the part, apart from the gearbox that's coming out of the car?!

 

You get it from where you got your rebuild kit, or any other T5 part supplier (bearingkits.co.uk, gears.tv, bearnie @ gearboxman etcetc).
