Default reyland ap brake kit for standard wheels

Considering buying the reyland ap brake kit for my 2wd sapphire.
I'm refitting standard lattice wheels so my current unused ap 330mm kit won't fit under them.
Has anybody bought and fitted this kit?
Is it a big improvement over standard?
Right now I don't have any standard kit so to buy standard front brakes I'm going to be around £600,the ap kit is £1650 which hurts a bit but if it's worth the extra I'd buy it now instead of standard then regretting it and buying it later.
Anybody got any experience good or bad??

I wouldn't think it's worth the money for that AP kit. It's only marginal bigger discs than standard. I would either do standard brakes with good discs and pads, or fit the 330 AP kit with bigger wheels.

The bigger brakes will only resist brake fade longer, it doesn't make the brake force any bigger as long as the temperature of the brakes is still ok. Standard brakes can also easily lockup the wheels.

Don't know why but looking at Saphs lately and I really like the standard wheels.
Bought 4 last week, all have been spares,1 has been used a bit but the others are new, need a refurb as there's some light scratches on the faces.

Be interesting to actually get the opinion of someone who has the kit or experience of it.
Imho I would think that kit would still perform well and less weight to. Everyone is obsessed with bigger is better.
Perhaps ask martin how they would compare with 330's etc.

The standard brakes are very good with decent pads and discs for a road use cossie. Mines are brilliant I'll only upgrade to 6 pits when I fit my comps just to fill the massive gap inside lol.

Big difference over standard brakes i put this kit on my 400 bhp fast road / trackday car use to get brake fade with Tarox g88 discs and ds2500
Well worth the money if you want to keep standard wheels and good bhp
