Hello everyone I noiticed a few months ago that my mk4 cortina with the 1600 pushrod engine is collecting white gunk in the top cover, especially near the oil filler cap. The engine is fitthed with dellortos side drafts and thus the breather hose goes to an oil catch and i'm thinking it is the culprit. Im not sure but I have not seen any noticable loss of water fromthe radiator an i dont know what else it can be. any help ?

 

My dad had a kent engine in a van years ago
And that use to mayo up in the rocker cover really bad
It was condensation as the engine was fine for many years before and after

He just used to clear it out once a year

 

As above. Short trips will cause this.
