Just thought I'd show you my daily since you don't see many about these days .. having never owned a Renault as a daily it's awesome all 137bhp goes through the bends like it's on rails ..feels faster than it is and is great fun on these tight welsh roads ..I've been doing odd bits on my days off to make it a little better ..as it had been stood for 8 years in a barn .. hope you enjoy .

Many a fond memory flooding back after seeing that Matt , lovely little cars . I remember a roar through the air box in 2nd gear sounded like a Subaru . Felt rapid in 1st and 2nd .

I've just fitted a full magnex system and ordered a piper filter they sound mega ..see if I can get video of my quick spin round the block they roar .

It did come on the same wheels as you have but I was young and wanted something bigger lol . Later on I did put it on ph2 5 spokes like what came on the 19

 

Mint that mate ..love em in red ..mines lowered on spax and poly bushed ..found out its possibly cammed also feels very lively after 4k and revs hard .

 

Couple of years ago with some ford content. Should have kept the 1.4s, going for good money now.

 

The clios are tiny compared to cars these days ..I parked mine in asda today and it's like micro lol

 

They're a proper giggle and suprisingly capable even today. A clean one like yours you'll never loose on it.

I gave it a spin other day after a wash ..didn't rev it hard but you get the idea of how it's going to sound ..ignore me I look a mong been up for 3 days solid .

 

Love these been looking for another but there so thin on the ground now and they all look rough that are for sale. I had a phase 2 m reg naples red one before I got my s2. Love the rs but wish I'd still got the clio and not sold it. Looks nice matt.

 

Once my house sells and I'm back in a cossie this is going ..but for the moment it's epic fun every day .

Great cars Renaults when I was younger I had a 21 turbo loved it really nice car!

Only rust on it is in the rubber door seal ..but I've ordered a pair

 

I love seeing pics of a 1.4s, was my first car and I have fond memories of it (despite My being a bit of a shitty rust box)

OP - loving your 16v Clio too, never been in one of these but I've had an R5 GTT and a Clio 182 so I'd imagine the 16v will be somewhere in between and equally awesome. Looks like you're making great progress too

Agree mate the wheels look awesome on them and they drive really nice on them ..and the seats are real comfy and give plenty of feed ..I really like these it gives me a smile every day .

Lovely little pocket rocket these, also like the hatchback Renault 19 16v of same era, dont see them no more on the roads.

I think i'm sure I read somewhere people was using the turbo lumps out of them for in clios?

Last really modified one I saw was the 1.8t converted one, should go well but imo the 1.8t's are too quiet and soul less compared to these engines unless loads of money chucked at them.

 

Yea a lot get converted ..I'm not that into it really I just like it for what it is now ..I couldn't warrant spending a few K to achieve 30hp on NA route or too much power Turbo route ..It will be going soon when I sell this house cos I'm going back to a Rs
