I have a 2003 Mondeo 2.5 V6 so the pre-facelift version. I recently put some facelift (2005) seats/carpet/doorcards etc in as I liked the look due to being half leather and black as mine was all cream leather. Since putting the facelift interior in my airbag light flashes 5 times then stops, then once, then stops then five times then once.....I found out this is called 'Error 51' so found on Ford Wiki this.......

DTC B2691: Driver safety belt buckle switch open circuit or short to battery. Lamp flash code: 51

I have looked everywhere on the drivers seat to the sides, underneath etc and cant find any 'Drivers safety belt buckle switch' Can anyone help please?

Is the plug under the seat connected? If it is it sounds like a sensor failure either pressure sensor in seat bottom or engagement sensor in seat belt stalk, probably the stalk by sounds of it
