So.....

Ive been thinking of ways to keep the cars on the road in the summer. They are not used like they should be and fast becoming ornaments.

Im getting married next year and whilst she is doing the dress and table ornament thing, im thinking about the RS convoy on way to the venue as well as the photo opportunities when they are parked up lmao

Got me to thinking that there may be an opportunity to use the cars for others, with the same intention. Or simply put, offer them as wedding cars.
Is there a demand?
Is there someone doing this already?

I realise on a forum/club like this that members would normally get together and perhaps offer their own. But outside of that, the choice list could be:

Mk3 Escort:
* Datapost promotional car
* Custom pack Series one turbo ( that common white colour lol)
* Caspian Blue RS1600i (when ready )
* Escort SE Cabriolet

Mk4 Escort:
* SE 500 cabriolet

Cosworth:
* Smokestone 4x4 Sapphire (modified)
* Moonstone 3 door (standard)

Focus RS
* Mk1 Focus RS (Standard Exterior)

Cars and drivers (multiple if required) could be dressed to suit.

Would be looking to offer an attractive service and equally so with price that covers expenses, running costs etc. For me, it would be great to have the cars used for a change

I think it's a great idea mate all be it a niche market but as you say the cars are doing nothing just now.
I used my mk1 focus Rs as my wedding car. The wife and other family used range rovers supplied by the venue. I wasn't interested in any of them.

huw i have often thought about this too as i have a few cars i could use .

reliability is the factor that would stop me,i can just imagine the fookers not starting outside the church lol

You must have a big bit of land to keep them on. Or do you have a big drive

 

My wedding car was a Ford...but that was back when most of the cars listed by Mungus had not even been built. Sadly I think the general public would not recognise 80's/90's Fords as anything special whereas an old English white MK2 Jag, 60's sports car, Italian Job mini or similar would be seen as an alternative to the usual vintage RR's, Mercs and the like.
