Hi guys has anyone any tips on how to remove steering rack on 4x4 cosworth with aircon as one of the bolts holding the rack in seems to be obstructed from coming out by the aircon pump?

My guess would be to move the a/c pump but not sure as mine is non a/c.

 

You need to remove the 4 mounting bolts from the pump but leave the pipes attached, then remove the mounting bracket as that's what the bolt hits (it does on an escort cos anyway but I'm certain its the same)
good luck! done mine a few times now and that's how iv'e had to do it
