Yes.its a pectel monitor lead , with the serial lead for the computer to download data ,and the take off for extras like exhaust temp ,oil temp , hope it helps
Any idea how to modfy this monitor to use the cable to output to my lap top?
there only 3 wires that go to the 3pin diagnostic plug , rd tx and Earth, for it to work you need the comms turned on the chip , when I go to the car will send you pics how mine is done , to load data on the laptop you need a copy of dart the data logging software,witch I have ,and a serial port on the computer
No sir, just the comms on the chip turned on , and a board mod on a p8 , I run a l6 with a pectel board in , to run my monitor stu @msd can switch it on a standard l8 board , just need the comms enabling
And you also need a special eprom which is capable of communicating with the pectel monitor, it must also be mapped for your engine.
I have a P8 in my rally car with a pectel board and Chip I have tried to read it with my Eeprom reader and MiniPro and TunerPro RT but it only reads rubbish although my L8 read OK so I am pretty sure that the Pectel Monitor will be OK
The Chip in the P8 is unknown my other P8 that I sold recently with an Ex Harvey Gibbs Engine was an Ahmed Bayjoo Chip so should be OK

Thanks for the help about the boost controller. Will be listed on eBay in a few days, this and some Ford motorsport 909 parts form my garagem clearance.
