Rear doors not centrally locking
Hi
My 1988 XR4x4 locks the tailgate and front doors with the central locking but not the rear doors which have to be locked independantly. The interior light doesn't go on either when opening either of the rear doors (not sure if connected to central locking issue).
It's been doing this since buying the car last summer and one of the things I'm now looking to sort.
Thanks in advance.

Dot pound are why the light doesn't come on
If you have the door open display panel things get a little bit more complicated
Does that work?
Door cards off to check the locking motors work first though

Whats "dot pound"?
There's no door open display on the car
Interior light comes on when front doors open just not rears

Typical mine is the later one's with push handles. It looks like it'll be difficult to diagnose as it doesn't do it very often
it's more to do with the security aspect which is why they are so hard to get out
if you do remove them remember to take lots of pics as they are very easy to get wrong when the screws and clips go back together again because the motors have lots of holes to fit lots of different makes and models
