18inch wheels on saff with konis
Hi guys, im looking at fitting a set of 18in Revolutions on my 4x4 saff. Iv heard that its a problem with koni suspension, but just read a post which says basicly a 35 offset 18 wheel will fit on with konis, just need to watch tyre size. Can anyone give me feedback on this please! Also if any pics would be apreciated. Cheers folks
Cheers for the reply, ur motors lovely, very similar to my H plate magenta. If you could check offset i would realy apreciate it but i know folk are busy and dont put urself out!
If it does I think I may have looked at that car a few years back, sold the owner a gearbox for it.
He was thinking of selling it so I had a look, was really tidy but wasn't what I was looking for at the time so didn't buy it.
I once had an issue with konis rubbing my 18's,can't remember the offset but I hammered the spring platform up so it didn't rub anymore.
No worries mate and thanks for the nice comment. I've a feeling mine are ET35 but will check at weekend for ya
Yes mate that's the car, can't be too many with the 200 wheels on! It's a cracking car and belongs to a mate of mine. Just had an underside resto and running good power as well.
Fellow south Lanarkshire member
do you drive a magenta saff by any chance seen one in Hamilton a couple of times
I've got 18" comp mo'6 with 35 profile tyres and there is zero clearance for my spring cup on my front shocks so had to use a 5mm spacer but will resolve that with coilovers as they are skinnier. Mines has bilstein shocks don't know if they're the same as konis.

I had the problem with front spring platform clearance. I cut the platform lip, inline with the wheel, back to the spring. then welded a small plate up to match the lip. Meant the wheels fitted with no need to run spacers etc.
