Not sure if anyone on here knows rusty, builder of the well known green 4wd Cossie Capri from years back, seen on Facebook that his garage has burnt down anyone know if this is true? Sure he had a rs500 and a load of spares in his garage shame if it's all gone up.

 

If it has that's 2 500's and a 3 door all burnt out in the last month.
I remember the car,it had a sierra front end grafted in.

 

Yeah that's what I was thinking 2 500's burnt out. He did have 2 500's in there but sure the one sold. Fire is devastating, hopefully it's not true.

 

my m8 runs a garage in otterbourne hants that burnt out this week taking out a m8s rs500 nothing but a melted shell left they've estimated all the cars in there and the cost of knocking down and rebuilding estimates so far 2.5-3 million

Yes mate Vicky butler Henderson raced clarkson in it on one of his videos, it used to run 11's back in the 90's.

Yes it has, unfortunately his cambelt snapped on his daily car the other day too so being a true mate I've lent him a car to keep him mobile

 

That's terrible news then hopefully he will get paid by insurance and be able to set his business back up. We're all his cars burnt out too?

 

It was arson, not too sure about the insurance but the buildings finished at least for the foreseeable

The Capri was at his home so safe. Apparently he built a 500hp engine for it but got offered good money for it so sold it with plans to build a bigger power unit. It was 400hp with a bit of gas when it was on the clarkson video and in the mags. Beat the version 1 Reyland escort in one of the mags too.

 

It was a Clarkson dvd, "at full throttle" with VBH staring as a guest. Against a Brabus Mercedes that at the time was a 250k car I believe
