Default St180 Daily/Track toy

After selling my clio track car 2 weeks weeks ago , I wasn't really planning on buying anything but then this came up damaged/repaired for a price I couldn't pass up.
This will now be my new daily/track car after also selling my X5 this week as i no longer need it to tow with.

On the way up the road I made a call to Sitech Racing and ordered all the parts to take it to Revo stage 2 so around 230 bhp
I also fitted Mountune springs to lower it a little and soften up the harsh standard ride, and a triple R splitter.

So 2 weeks later this is how it now looks .

Stunning that, nearly got one brand new on pcp, was a no option in the end because the stupid low miles you can do. Ended up paying cash for a 63 plate ecoboost S nice motors.

Nice these. Is the ride harsh as standard? must if spent a fortune on the clio.

Glen the ride as standard is very harsh at low speeds, the new springs are wound a lot better so a low speed its a bit softer but at speed there is less roll.

I did spend a fair bit on the clio but it was over a few years and it was a fun project, I nearly broke it for parts which would of got about 80% of my outlay back but sold it to a mate complete taking a bit of a hit on it.

Haha I knew when i picked it up that i had to make the fiesta faster , fast or I would of regretted selling the clio.
On track the ST will probably never feel as fast/raw as the clio , but atleast it is useable on the road.

Ive heard a few people say the suspension is a bit harsh. I bet with a few mods and a remap this will be a little flying machine.

The clio was a brilliant car but due to being out the country so much with work just now, I wasn't getting enough track days in to justify having the clio /X5 tow car/Porsche so decided to sell two and get a car that could be used as a daily and on track.

Finally got a chance to fit my brakes today ,
I was tempted to paint them red but decided to leave them black ,and paint the rear callipers to match when i fit the 280mm rear discs.

Im also hopefully going to pick these up tomorrow to use as track wheels 16" pro race 1.2 , in ET 38 so should hopefully clear the brakes with 3mm spacers

Test fitted the track wheels yesterday and actually prefer the look and the way the car drives on 16" wheels.

Thanks the orange wheels were just on to test for brake clearance , but after driving on them i prefer the drive on 16's so have just bought a set of 16's to use as road wheels as well.
Luckily my mates girlfriend had already said she wanted my 17's if i ever wanted to sell them.

Yip OZ superleggeras are very light , even lighter than the later Ultraleggeras. I don't know the weights for the 16's but the 15's i had for the clio were around 4.5kg per wheel.

Nice this, probably a good fun little car. Not so keen on the skirt things, but like it otherwise.

Im kind of the same on the side splitters , I think they would look better if the car was lower.

Got my 16" superleggeras back from powder coat and also painted the front callipers to match the rears.
So think that is the car now ready for track when , bar getting some 888's or similar for the orange wheels.

Thanks it is a really nice car but with me only managing one track day in it , over the last year I've decided to go back to a 4x4 as a daily.
