took my bumpers off my 92 sierra to find that the brackets on the rear bumper were rusted and broke off when I was taking it off


any easy fix to this I don't mind as long as I can get it back on tight

 

have you still got the bit that sticks into the bumper?

if not you might be stuffed

pics will help but if you've got the ford foam filled bumper or the after market later non foam filled bumper the options are different

 

maybe not the nicest option but take off the strip around the top of the bumper and put a screw on either side - where it meets the arch roughly -and it should sort of hold it there - then i think there are mounts it should slot into? mine was sagging badly as the passanger bracket broke and one screw has held it since.
